Lovett O'Brien guides students and institutions with disciplinary actions and Title IX matters through independent investigations, negotiations, hearings, appeals, and related civil and criminal proceedings.

Following is a sample of our work in prior matters:

• Conducted sensitive discrimination and sexual misconduct investigations for colleges, universities, and secondary schools  

• Successfully resolved university disciplinary inquiry regarding alleged misconduct by student in study abroad program

• Represented preparatory boarding school student in negotiation of settlement regarding harassment by another student and faculty, including requirement that school develop and publish anti-bullying policy

• Advised university, law school, and medical school professors and administrators in disciplinary and discrimination matters

• Served on panel at prominent law school as an independent Title IX investigator & adjudicator
